AI Hub is the central control point for AI content generation across your client sites. It manages your AI provider API keys, registers client sites, sets token usage limits, controls available templates, and handles white label branding for the AI Writer interface your clients see.

Note: If you have already set up Site Sync and registered child sites, those sites are automatically enrolled in AI Hub when you enable it. No separate registration step is needed for existing Site Sync clients.

Step 1: Enable AI Hub

  1. Log in to your agency site’s WordPress admin.
  2. Go to ToggleWP in the admin menu.
  3. Open the Manage tab and enable AI Hub.

An AI Hub tab will appear in the ToggleWP settings.

Step 2: Add Your API Key

AI Hub supports three AI providers. You only need to configure one, though you can add keys for multiple providers and choose which one is used.

  1. Open the AI Hub tab.
  2. Under AI Hub Configuration, enter your key in the relevant field:
    • OpenAI API Key — for GPT models
    • Anthropic API Key — for Claude models
    • Google API Key — for Gemini models
  3. Set your Default Provider to match the key you entered.
  4. Choose a Default Model from the dropdown. The available models update based on the selected provider.
  5. Save your settings.

Use the Test API Key button next to each field to confirm the key is valid before saving (this makes a simple low token request to validate the response).

Step 3: Set Token Allowances

Token allowances control how much AI usage each client site can consume.

  • Default Monthly Token Allowance — the monthly cap applied to every newly registered client. The default is 500,000 tokens. Set this to 0 to allow unlimited usage.
  • Default Daily Token Allowance — an optional daily cap. Set this to 0 (the default) to apply no daily limit.

These are the global defaults. You can tailor the monthly / daily allowance for individual clients later from the Managed Sites section.

Step 4: Configure White Label Branding (Optional)

Under the branding section, you can customise how the AI Writer interface appears on client sites:

  • Module Display Name — the name shown to client site users (default: “AI Writer”).
  • Accent Color — the primary colour used in the sidebar interface.
  • Logo URL — a URL to your agency logo, displayed inside the AI Writer sidebar.
  • Powered By Text — optional attribution text shown in the interface.

These branding settings are synced to client sites automatically and do not rely on Parent Sync / Child Sync modules.

Step 5: Set a Global Master Prompt (Optional)

Under Global Master Prompt, you can enter writing guidelines that apply to every content generation request across all client sites. For example, instructions about formatting preferences, or topics to avoid.

This prompt is silently layered into every request before the template-specific instructions. Clients do not see the prompt text.

Step 6: Register a Client Site

If you are not using Site Sync, you can register client sites directly from AI Hub.

  1. Scroll to the client registration section on the AI Hub tab.
  2. Enter a name for the client site.
  3. Click Register Client.

The plugin will create a dedicated WordPress user and generate an Application Password. A base64-encoded configuration string will be displayed. Copy this string and paste it into the AI Writer settings on the child site.

Step 7: Managed Sites – Per Client settings

Each client can have its own personal monthly / daily token limit, have Chat Mode / Long-Form Content enabled and override its AI provider model. This is useful to allow basic allowances on your lower end packages with a lower cost model (Haiku), while allowing premium plans to use a more advanced model (Sonnet / Opus).

Managing Templates

AI Hub includes 40 built-in content templates across categories including Website Copy, Blog, SEO, Marketing, and more. You can:

  • Enable or disable individual templates so they appear or are hidden on client sites.
  • Edit the system prompt for any built-in template via AI Templates in the admin menu.
  • Create custom templates that are distributed to all client sites.
  • Export and import template sets.

Built-in templates cannot be deleted, but they can be deactivated.

Monitoring Usage

Go to Client AI Usage in the admin menu to see a breakdown of token consumption by client site, provider, and model. From this page you can:

  • View monthly usage per client.
  • Adjust a client’s monthly token allowance.
  • Reset usage counters for the current month, today, or all time, for a single client.

The Client AI Summary page shows an at-a-glance activity status (Active, Moderate, or Inactive) for each registered client based on their usage over the past 90 days.
