There are two ways to create a Voice Profile in ToggleWP: the Manual method, where you fill in each field yourself, and the AI Analysis Wizard, which analyses real writing samples and pre-fills the form for you.
Both methods produce the same result — a saved profile that shapes every piece of AI-generated content linked to it.
Getting Started
Go to ToggleWP → AI Voice Profiles in your WordPress admin (Client site). You’ll see a list of any existing profiles, along with an Add New Profile button at the top of the page.
Click Add New Profile to open the profile form.
Method 1: Using the AI Analysis Wizard
The wizard is the fastest route to an accurate profile, particularly if you’re unsure how to articulate your own writing style in technical terms.
Step 1 — Add Writing Samples
Select the ✨ AI Analysis Wizard tab. Paste up to five samples of your own genuine writing into the provided fields. Each sample should be at least 2–3 sentences — not placeholder text or marketing copy written in a generic voice.
Note: You don’t need to fill all five slots. One or two well-chosen samples will give the AI a solid foundation.
Step 2 — Set Your Style Preferences
Answer a few short questions about your writing: preferred sentence length, formality level, your main use cases (e.g. blog posts, client emails), and anything you’d like the AI to avoid.
These preferences are sent alongside your samples during analysis, so the AI can cross-reference what you’ve written with what you’ve said about your style.
Step 3 — Analyse and Review
Click Analyse My Voice. The AI processes your samples and returns a structured profile — style notes, signature moves, an avoid list, and platform guidance — pre-filled into the Manual tab.
Review each field and adjust anything that doesn’t ring true. Then click Save Profile.
Method 2: Manual Setup
The Manual tab lets you fill in every field directly, without going through the wizard. This is the better option if you already have a clear picture of your writing style, or if you’re refining a profile that was pre-filled by the wizard.
Step 1 — Name Your Profile
Enter a name in the Profile Name field (e.g. “Founder’s Voice” or “Agency Blog Tone”). Check the Active box to make the profile available in the AI Writer sidebar dropdown.
Step 2 — Add Writing Samples
Click Add Sample to add up to five writing samples. Select a register for each one and paste in the text. These are used as voice exemplars during content generation.
Step 3 — Fill In the Style Details
Complete the remaining fields:
- Style Notes — Describe your sentence structure, rhythm, and formality (e.g. “Short punchy sentences. Conversational but confident. No padding.”)
- Signature Moves — List recurring patterns to preserve (e.g. “Opens with a concrete example. Avoids passive voice. Uses short single-sentence paragraphs for emphasis.”)
- Avoid List — Add phrases or patterns that should never appear (e.g. “it’s worth noting”, “dive into”, “in today’s fast-paced world”)
Step 4 — Add Platform Guidance (Optional)
If you write across multiple platforms, click Add Platform to add platform-specific notes. Enter the platform name (e.g. “blog”, “email”, “LinkedIn”) and any guidance specific to that context.
Step 5 — Save
Click Save Profile. The profile will appear in your profile list and become available in the AI Writer sidebar for any editor on the site to select.
