The “Plugin Control” module provides several ways to customise a site’s plugin experience.
Individual plugins can be hidden from other non-site-admin users, protected from being deactivated or trigger an alert email if deactivated.
The Add Plugins screen can also have its results customised. WP Org repo slugs can be added to block them from showing up on the Featured tab, or in search results. You can list your own WP Org repo plugins to feature instead.
This screen is ideal for power users, who may wish to use one site as a template, allowing exporting of settings for use on multiple client sites. For a user friendly UI, managed at a single site level, use the Plugin Manager, accessible from the ToggleWP menu.
For plugins outside of the WP Org repo you can “Enable Curated Suggestions Tab”, which adds a new tab to the Add Plugin screen. Visit ToggleWP > Curated Suggestions from the menu to manage these. Curated Suggestions can have a title, content, featured image, external URL, author & tags.
It is also possible to be notified when any new plugin has been activated on a site, or an existing one deactivated, by enabling the two settings at the bottom of the screen. The notification email will let you know who performed the action and the details of the plugin.
