Accessed from the Notifications tab, you can enable a range of notification alerts for admin users. The Admin Notifications module requires Login Monitoring to be enabled as previous admin logins will be checked for their IP address / country.

“Login Notification Frequency” can be set to Every Login / Daily / Weekly / Monthly / Never. This allows for different levels of oversight of a site’s admin accounts.

Enabling “New IP Address Alerts” or “New Country Alerts” will trigger an email when it is different from a previous successful login.

“Inactive User Alerts” will trigger a special email when an admin user has their first login in over 30 days. Is it a very inactive admin account, or has their credentials been leaked and someone else is using them?

Once a month (currently based on the plugin activation date) a summary email will list all admin user accounts and their last login date. If an admin hasn’t logged in for a long time do they still require that account?

Individual admin user accounts can be opted-in to receive site administration emails (managed via their User profile). Enabling “Allow Administrator Opt-Out” will allow these administrators to click their single use magic link to opt themselves out of these emails. This is useful if you created an additional admin user as holiday cover, as this allows them to opt-out from receiving system emails once you returned. This also avoids changing the site administration email address for a short period.
